INTERN – CURATORIAL (FALL 2009)
Responsibilities
The intern will assist the curator with exhibition research, fundraising research, event coordination, and other tasks.
Skills
The intern will work closely with museum staff, so must be professional, articulate, pleasant, and reliable.
Good computer skills, internet and other research skills, word processing, and database use. The intern should also be able to work independently, have organizational skills, and be a quick learner.

As Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies has just moved into a new facility, this is an exciting time for an intern to work at Spertus Museum, Chicago’s Jewish museum. The intern should have excellent research skills, should be detail-oriented, should have good communication skills, and should want to work with the public. At Spertus Museum, we believe in fostering community and have a dedicated team of museum professionals with strong mentoring abilities. In addition to this benefit, Spertus Museum regularly employs college-aged interns, so the intern will be part of a broader community of volunteers.
