Walter Adams gained his experience in the executive management consulting industry while working in the New York offices of Booz Allen and Hamilton (now Booz & Company) and PricewaterhouseCoopers. For over a decade, he worked at The Sterno Group, first as Vice-President of Operations and then as President and General Manager. In that role, he directed Sterno's strategic and day-to-day operational activities, including finance, manufacturing, distribution, sales, marketing, and human resources. He is also involved in re-invigorating their international distribution relationships in Japan, Hong Kong, Dubai (UAE), Germany, and England and implementing manufacturing joint-ventures in China and India.
In 2007, Mr. Adams joined Landscape Brands, a manufacturer of outdoor site furnishings, as Chief Operating Officer, before turning to teaching in 2009. In addition to teaching in the Nonprofit Management program at Spertus, he also teaches at DePaul University School for New Learning, Capella University, and Columbia College of Missouri.
