Master of Arts in Jewish Education
This is a professional degree program for students who desire an appropriate credential for a variety of supervisory capacities in Jewish educational settings, such as principal of a religious school. This program also prepares teachers for various specialty disciplines at Jewish Day Schools, such as rabbinic literature, Jewish religious thought, Hebrew language instruction, and Jewish history. For other Jewish educators, where such specialized training and for whom certain prerequisite knowledge is not necessary, e.g., Sunday School and religious school teachers, the MSJS, with its education concentration, is recommended.
