Wayne Thompson has served at Spertus as an adjunct professor since 2001.  He relocated to the Chicago area in the early 1980s and left public accounting to pursue a professional specialty in the nonprofit sector. He has worked for the Central States Health and Pension Funds in Rosemont and as an accounting manager with the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Since 1997, Mr. Thompson has worked with the American Dental Association as Manager of Business Analysis for this national association of dental professionals. In this capacity, he oversees two multi-million dollar investment funds, as well as fixed assets and cash management functions along with the related financial reporting responsibility.
