Opening Day Celebration of Shalom Chicago, an exhibit at the Chicago History Museum about the city's Jewish community
Visitors listened to the lively music of the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band Quartet, schmoozed with the exhibit team, noshed on traditional foods, and made and took home a crafty souvenir.

Presented in collaboration with Spertus, Shalom Chicago was an exhibit at the Chicago History Museum about the city's Jewish community. It illustrated the community's rich history and contributions to Chicago's growth and development through personal stories, rare artifacts (many on loan from Spertus), and engaging multimedia presentations. Over 30 objects from the Spertus collections were on display in this exhibit.
