MAJPS Tuition & Fees

Tuition, Fellowships, and Scholarships 

For students in the United States, the cost of the two-year program is $18,000. Through a combination of fellowship and scholarship funds, students who work for Jewish organizations are eligible for a tuition reduction of approximately 65%, reducing the student cost to $6,500. 

For Canadian students, the cost of the two-year program is $24,425 (USD). Through a combination of fellowship and scholarship funds, students who work for Jewish organizations are eligible for a tuition reduction of approximately 40%, reducing the student cost to $14,000 (USD).

Fellows are also eligible to receive up to $750 annually towards the costs of professional development related to their respective fields.

Additional scholarship support may also be available. Please discuss options with the Director of Enrollment Management.

Additional Fees
The cost for textbooks and materials averages $200 per year. Students will also be responsible for a graduation fee.

Student Loans
Students may qualify for loans through Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). MORE>

Student Loan Deferments
MAJPS students may submit an in-school deferment form, thus placing their current loans into a grace period and deferring payments until completion of the program.

Did You Know?
Tuition and fees paid out-of-pocket (i.e.: not covered by Scholarships, Fellowships, or Student Loans) for accredited higher education (like the graduate and certificate programs at Spertus Institute) may qualify for a deduction of up to $4,000 on your federal taxes, depending on your income. Check with your tax adviser for details.

Midcareer Fellowships


Fellowships Available 
See if you qualify>

Do you work at least 15 hours per week serving the Jewish community? If so, you may be eligible for a substantial scholarship — called a Midcareer Fellowship — made possible with the support of a generous outside donor.

Through a combination of fellowship and scholarship funds, Chicago and Milwaukee applicants are eligible for a tuition reduction of approximately 65%.

Through a combination of scholarships funds in partnership with JFC-UIA, Canadian applicants receive a tuition reduction of approximately 45%.
