Dr. Marc Swatez is CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.
He previously served as Executive Director of The ARK, a multidimensional social service agency serving Chicago area Jews in need. Dr. Swatez worked as a synagogue executive director for 14 years, first at Congregation Beth Ahabah in Richmond, Virginia and then at Congregation BJBE in Deerfield, Illinois. He has been an active member of the National Association for Temple Administration where he served as its Vice President.
In the academic area, Dr. Swatez worked as an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and is now pleased to be teaching in Spertus Institute's Master of Arts in Jewish Professional Studies program.
