Persuasion Without Authority: The Hidden Forces of Influence

Expand how you garner gifts with ideas gleaned from the psychology of influence. Under the guidance of leadership development expert and Spertus faculty member Dr. Gail Berger, discover ways to persuade funders of the importance of your cause—and how to evaluate what methods are best for you.

Be strategic, save time, and raise more with a healthy variety of income streams. Master fundraiser Vicki Agron will teach you techniques to manage campaigns and maximize results from current and prospective donors.

More About This Year's Presenters

Amy SchiffmanAmy Schiffman is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with more than 25 years in nonprofit development. Since co-founding Giving Tree Associates in 2008, she has helped clients raise tens of millions of dollars through individual major gifts, foundation, and corporate funding.

Gary WeinsteinGary Weinstein has spent his career working for Jewish organizations as a director, fundraiser, and educator, most recently as the Midwest Regional Director for the Birthright Israel Foundation. He spent 14 years as President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, an organization with an annual campaign of $11 million and assets of $150 million.

Dr. Gail BergerDr. Gail Berger, an assistant professor at Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy and the Kellogg School of Management, brings academic and professional experience in the areas of organizational behavior, conflict resolution, and leadership. She consults for both small firms and Fortune 500 companies on leadership development and team building.

Vicki AgronVicki Agron has more than four decades of experience as a senior development professional and national leader. Her consulting firm specializes in strategic fundraising and professional staff development with a client list that includes local, national, and international Jewish organizations as well as intergenerational philanthropic families.
