Bio

Dr. Shlomi Ravid is Founding Director of The Center for Jewish Peoplehood Education and a pioneer in developing educational curricula and tools about Jewish Peoplehood.

Among the accomplishments during his 30+ years of involvement in Jewish global affairs, he served as the founding director of the Israel Center of San Francisco and the founding director of the International School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies at Beit Hatefutsot. In 1997, he developed and launched the Diller Teen Fellows program in partnership with the Hellen Diller Family Foundation in San Francisco.

Dr. Ravid founded and edits the Peoplehood Papers and as well as the educational kit, Israel: The Vision and Venture of the Jewish People. He has published over thirty articles and studies on Jewish peoplehood and recently led the creation of the Peoplehood Education Toolkit. He is a member of Kibbutz Glil-Yam, where he was born.
